Things that irritate me

Hi world,
Its like I was thinking since long back to write something about me rather than just my observations about the amorphous world. What better post than the 100th post ? Yes, this is my 100th post. Not all of them have been written by me. Indeed I think only 55-60 would be my keywork. But the number of posts show that I have maintained my crave for good writing and ready to face the world with their comments, be it in any manner. Historically speaking, whenever I have found anything worthwhile, I have posted it here in my blog page( * enthusiasm supporting me ). Today I thought I should be writing about myself. What better than writing what I dont like. That would atleast contribute to the knowledge base of my near-dear ones for " What not to do with Ayush ". Sounds so bookomaniac.. think and you come up with umpteen examples of WHATish books and HOWish books. Lead examples: what not to do @IIT, what to expect when u are expecting, How to win friends, How not to win friends. Ok so cutting the crap as soon as I could here are the things I detest/abhor/hate/loath :
1) Somebody keeping their cell in silent endorsing before the whole world, their sign of carelessness.
2) Somebody keeping their cell in non-vibrator mode in a movie hall when they know that they could miss the call if call comes amidst some loud scene.
3) Some credit card vaala not fullfiling their promises of giving me the credit card even after taking every thing out of my official paraphernelia.
4) People not giving importance to listening and only fond of speaking. Its the sure shot sign of naiveness and showing the whole world, you f*c*i*g dont care about their views.
5) People being presumptuous about my nature when they havent even spent 2 hrs with me. I believe nobody can presume..no body.
6) People asking me why cant I repair the lights/fans of their house even when I am an engineer by education.
7) Cab vaalas asking me how to reach my residence in gurgaon.
8) People asking me ( even if by mistake) if I was working in some call centre( yes, I feel very bad)
9) Oversmart people who do a mistake and then try to hide it by their managerial skills.
10) People taking my silence to be submission.
11) People deciding which movie to go based on the review a single person is giving( Thats the worst thing you could do. Everything is perception.)
12) People rating NIT Trichy/S/W above DAIICT( Nothing could be farther from Truth)
13) People saying that Shahrukh Khan is not as good as Aamir Khan( same degree of wrongness as point 12) and that Shahrukh can only Hamm!!( watch Swades, Rab ne., Chak de)
14) For " whatever " reason if any of the guard at my society stops and asks me " which flat ? ".

Note: This list will keep updating.

Review - Delhi -6..Name it Firozabad 6

So finally Delhi 6 releases. Not living to the standards of its expectations, the movie has more loopholes than the stronger points. The film suffers from Bad scripts, "deletable without any effect scenes" and from an excess of characters in the movie. Anyway, this is how it goes: Roshan( Abhishek) emigrates from US to India when her Granny suffers from a stroke and states her last wish to die in her motherland. Blacked by the Emotional Blackmail, Roshan vouches for taking her to Delhi, specifically Delhi-6. Roshan is amused by at the chaos and the norms, traditions in India, some of which he really abhors. He keeps the decision of returning to US back in his mind until he falls in love with Sonam. Apart from the love for Sonam, his wish to be the part of this place, India, keeps him away from returning back. Then starts the real stupidity: the issue of Kaala bandar a mysterious character, creates a riot in delhi 6 when people from both the communities( Obviously Hindu and Muslim) become thirsty for each other's blood. Abhishek is just a side observer for all this. Finally after few ramifications he adorns the cloth of Kaala bandar( the bone of contention) only to sacrifice his life.

Now, many things from excess of Kaala bandar to excess of Ramayana to excess involvement of Thulla( PK dubey of Moonsoon wedding) to excess of kidism of the two kids from sonam's family seemed out of place, none of which was required. I didnt understand onething. If Idiosyncracies of the society( Hindu muslim tussle, Beatification of Cow, disparity to lower caste people) were the main issues the director wanted to present why did he build a plot till intermission. Some the plot build till intermission isnt congruent with the material after intermission. I wish the kaala bandar ended by intermission. That, it is the central theme of the movie isnt digestible, atleast two days after watching. The tameness of the people for the cow delivering a baby on the road and people getting maniac for this was better suited for a village or a town at best, rather than for the capital of India, that too in 2009 when India is the world's second fastest growing economy. If Rakesh Mehra wanted to show this cow event he should have shotted in some town of UP like Firozabad or some place of Bihar like Darbhanga and named the movie accordingly Firozabad - 6 or likes. Many of the scenes were just stuffed inside when there was no need. This includes scene when the muslim guy makes fun of the thulla and becomes a laughing stock thereafter. It seems like Rakesh Mehra has just turned a blind eye towards the current scenario in India and taken the historical areas like Chandni Chowk too seriously. This list can go on and on but I am stopping coz of the brand Rang de Basanti from Mehra.

The only respite people had was the timely advent of the songs and few Abhi-Sonam moments , even which didnt force me to think that Sonam had something sof in her heart for Abhi till the end. Now call it mistake on sonam's part or blame it on the script. The songs were good fitting to the situation. It was good to see a US resident( abhishek) dance to the tunes of folklore like Sasural Genda phool and similarly in Masakali. Abhishek's presence is one of the most important thing thats happening in the movie which "might" hold you at your seat. Though on account of the large number of characters, his role is lessened vis a vis a normal movie but he has done his part diligently. Sonam was close to a showpeace and didnt impact the movie more than few moments and the Masakali Moments. The Delhi 6 interiors which was actually my village from Rajasthan, Sambhar Lake was one of the luring point. Most of the gullies shot were the ones which I have crossed umpteen number of times including the gully of " ask the monkey " scene which is just next to our house.

Delhi 6 is a disappointing stuff from a reputed director.

Pause: Prem chopra's house is our house..

Review- The curious case of Benjamin Button(B2)

Guys, I dont even know whether I am an eligible lad for writing a review for a hollywood movie. That too if the movie happens to be one of the oscar nominated. My hesitation would obviously take a hike. But anyway, considering my understanding for a hollywood movie has increased remarkably I give it a try..Ok.....The curious case..(TCC) is a sure shot deserving movie to be nominated for an Oscar. I havent seen Slumdog..but my heart goes out for TCC. To say it in few words: The movie eats you from within. Here is the concept. We have a peculiar man ( Brad Pitt) who is born as a unconventional child. Unconventional ?? How ?? ...Hmmm..This guy is actually an old man when he is born..with of course height of a kid. So what happens then ?? Yes, he gets younger each day, quite polar to normal homo sapiens. Aint it ?? So original a concept. Mr B2 lives each day, with umpteen number of people asking him everyday his age and then giving him a raised eyebrow response. B2 takes all the humour about his abnormality in a "hardly matters for me " spirit. Continuing his life , he meets a girl who enjoys a close chemistry with him. They make good friends with each other and later graduate to a higher level. B2 leaves his home at adolescence, with the old looks intact, reminding us of conventional 18 year itch of an american teenager. Sees the world and takes every experience in his stride, returning sporadically to his Mom. He finally meets the girl, yes the same girl..and realizes his love for her. The life gets rosy with both of almost same age. MR B2 taking backward leaps keeps on getting younger, with the spouse getting older, each day. This sad concept intact, finally the protagonist dies in the arms of the heroine with the heroine of the age of the hero's grand maa.

The movie carries on the environment of the tension which builds with each passing day and showing B2 the closer home death. You are moved to the highest extent when the heroine sees B2 as a ten year old teenager , not ready to recognize her and then asking her-- Do we know each other ? You cant stop praising B2's wife for still caring for her Kid-Beau. This is a sure shot case of commitment. The scene is shot very beautifully. It shows the basic nature of human beings to care for our loved ones even if they are indifferent to us. Few other scenes that appealed me were the following :

1) When the boat driver asks Benjamin, what was the last time he touched a woman and gets an innocent " never " answer.
2) When Benjamin's wife expresses her sorrow/jealousy/concern for she getting more wrinkled , each day passing unlike B2 who was getting younger each day. One thinks for the heroine and for the insecurity and the complex she endorses for this raising uncompatiblity.
3) Benjamin's concern for his child who was in her mother's womb for the remote possibility that what if the child was like him and otherwise also..how could the mother raise both( yes both ) ??
4) The game, under the bed, played by the heroine she was a kid and B2 was a thorough old man..It reminded me of my childhood when I considered hiding under a bed as a game.
